Webinar Education

I am co-teaching a 6 CE/CPE rental real estate series with Natalie Kolodij, EA, CRETS through Compass Tax Educators in May 2024. It is going to be awesome!

In-Person Education

I’ll kick off education season with a visit to the Oregon coast on May 10-11, 2024 for the Oregon Society of Tax Consultants Spring Fling. I’ll be teaching Gambling Tax Issues, Preparing Problem Tax Returns, Reasonable Compensation, and Self-Employed Health Insurance Deduction.

On June 5-7, 2024, I’ll speak at the Miami Tax Convention in Miami Beach, FL. Instruction is offered in English and Spanish, and I’ll be in the English room with my friend and international expert Beth Lougen, EA, USTCP. I’ll be teaching Estimated Tax Penalties, Gambling Tax Issues, Making Money the Right Way: Ethics and Fees, and Introduction to Rental Real Estate Taxation.

This year, the California Society of Enrolled Agents (CSEA) Super Seminar is going to Phoenix, AZ (don’t worry, it’ll still be a dry, pleasant heat that time of year). For the first time in quite a few years, I’m teaching my highly regarded tax research classes Mastering the Tax Research Process: Analyzing Tax Authority and Mastering the Tax Research Process: Practical Applications. In addition, I’ll be teaching Preparing Problem Tax Returns and moderating the Hot Tax Topics Q&A Panel with Natalie Kolodij, EA, CRETS; Brad Messner, EA; and Matt Metras, EA.

I’m excited to head to Reno, NV on July 21-24, 2024 for my first time teaching at the California Society of Tax Consultants Symposium. I’ll be teaching Disclosing Tax Return Positions, Tax Planning Strategies for Individuals, Tax Planning Strategies for Rental Property Owners, and Gambling Tax Issues. I’ll also be on the closing Stump the Tax Experts Panel.

Last but certainly not least, I will co-teach the AICTP Tax Planning Academy in San Diego, CA, on June 19-21, August 21-23, and October 23-25. Join Dominique Molina, CPA, CTS and me for a three-day intensive training program on integrating high-value tax planning into your practice. This event will transform your practice!

Become an Enrolled Agent

The enrolled agent credential can be the pathway to a great career in the tax field and allows you to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. To become an enrolled agent, you must pass the three-part Special Enrollment Examination.
